The City Clerk administers the local processes of the City of Apache Junction bingo and liquor licenses. There may be additional tax and license requirements depending on the nature of the business being conducted.
Applications are available by emailing or calling the Arizona Department of Revenue, Bingo Section at (602) 716-7801. Upon completion, the application is brought to the city clerk’s office where a public hearing date before the council will be assigned.
There is a $5 fee payable to the City for the public hearing where the council makes its recommendation to the Bingo Section. There is also a $10 fee payable to the State of Arizona for the license.
Applications for are available at the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control in Phoenix. They can be reached through the link provided or by calling (602) 542-5141. Liquor control will mail the completed application to the City, where it is processed and a City Council public hearing is assigned. There is a $50 public hearing fee payable to the City. The Council will make a recommendation to liquor control. Liquor control makes the final determination.
Special event liquor license applications are also available at the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. The applicant must bring the completed form to the city, where it is processed and a City Council public hearing is assigned. There is no public hearing fee charged for these. The Council will make a recommendation to liquor control. Following the meeting, the applicant will be contacted to pick up the application and take it to liquor control.
