5th Annual Pretty in Pink Dance Party
The Fitness Staff at the MGC are hosting a Pretty in Pink Dance Party on Saturday, October 13th 10am - 11:30am to benefit breast cancer research. All ages are welcome to participate in the hour and a half long Zumba Dance Party. There will be prizes for all and a raffle for those that donate. There is no fee for attending the Pretty in Pink Dance Party, however, donations are encouraged. 100% of the donations will be donated to breast cancer research. Be sure to wear your best pink for the dance party!
Fitness Exploration for Homeschoolers
Fitness Exploration for Homeschoolers incorporates a variety of physical activities that will encourage homeschooled kids to live active lifestyles and build healthy habits. Activities will include but aren't limited to: games, sport introductions, strength training, coordination and cardiovascular exercises. The possibilities for fitness FUN are endless!
Teen Sport Performance Camp
Teens wanting to gain an edge on the field or court, or just looking to improve your fitness, we have you covered. Gain overall strength, cardiovascular endurance, agility and speed in these circuit-style workouts. Improve your fitness or sports performance and learn good habits that will last a lifetime.
Let Me Run
Let Me Run inspires boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. With a comprehensive curriculum that applies the power of running, the program encourages boys to develop their psychological, emotional and social health, in addition to their physical health. Each practice includes a lesson from the Let Me Run curriculum that incorporates running, games and activities. The season culminates in a 5k race that celebrates the boys personal growth. Final 5k will be on Dec. 15th - 5k registration fee not included.
RidgeWalkers Hiking Club
Join our RidgeWalkers Hiking Club and hike a variety of beautiful, local trails with an experienced leader. The club will meet at the MGC and then be transported to the destination in our Parks & Rec van. Click on the link to see a schedule of hikes.
Fit Families Program
Fit Families is a program designed to encourage and support families in spending more time together and making healthier life choices. It takes GREAT partners to make this program work! Girls On the Run®
Girls on the Run® (GOTR)is a non-profit program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. The program combines training for a 5k running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts and curriculum-based lessons on themes such as dealing with body image and the media, resisting peer pressure, making healthy decisions and contributing to the community. Open to all 3rd-5th grade girls, this program will be held at the MGC and will culminate in a season ending 5k Run/Walk.
