Summer Programming

While it might not be the summer we were expecting, Parks and Recreation will continue to offer recreational programming during the summer. While some activities have had to be suspended we have created and modified programs to keep our customer recreating. We will continue to add programming through out the summer, continue to check back with us. At this time we are not offering an open gym program, We are encouraging individuals who need full time care for their children, to visit the Boys & Girls Club or one of the private daycares in our community.

Due to the limited amount participants in programs; refunds will not be issued.

Residents will have the opportunity to register earlier than non-resident for most programming. 

Registration begins:

  • May 22nd for Residents
  • May 27th Non-residents

Swim lessons registration begins:

  • May 26th-Residents
  • June 3rd-Non-residents

Online Registration

You can view and register for many activities securely, online from the comfort of your own home!  You can view and register for all of our classes.  Before registering, families must create an account.  You MAY already have an account if you have been in our system and we have a current address on file for you.  To find out, login to our online site and when you get to the sign-in screen click the "forgotten" link and a secure password will be reset and sent to you via email.  If you don't already have an account, you can create one online.  Please note that there are additional processing fees when you register online.  If you would like to avoid these, you can always select mail-in or over-the-counter options for registration.

There are several additional options for registering for Parks and Recreation activities:  
  1. Register in person at our office, located on the North East corner of Superstition and Idaho at 1001 N. Idaho Rd., Apache Junction, AZ. 85119
  2. Online Registration - Set up an account online and view/register for classes
  3. Mail in your registration form - view our programs in the Citizen Magazine above and electronically fill out and mail in the registration form along with a check payable to City of AJ to:
