Welcome to the City Clerk’s webpage. The City Clerk’s office is responsible for providing timely, efficient and accurate citizen, council and staff support.

The City Clerk’s office administers the business licensing program and the sales tax audit program.  In addition, it also provides public notices, maintains city ordinances and resolutions and administers the City archives and public records program, including maintenance, revision and publication of the City Code.

The City Clerk’s office is also responsible for preparing and keeping minutes of the City Council and committee meetings, monitoring state campaign finance law compliance and administering municipal elections in accordance with Federal, State and local laws.

Important Note for Winter Visitors: Remember you can only vote where you are a resident. No one is allowed to vote in 2 different jurisdictions, to do so is a violation of the law. It is illegal for any person who has declared residency in another state to vote in any Arizona election. Penalties of jail time and a fine could be levied against any voter breaking this law.
