Planning & Zoning Division
Planning and Zoning Division staff can be reached at (480) 474-5083 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You may be required to leave a message when contacting us by phone. Please be patient, your message will be returned as soon as possible.
Building permits - building permit applications are being accepted via email and via US Mail or other delivery services. There are no counter or in-person services offered at this time. Questions can be emailed to email@example.com or you can call (480) 474-5156.
Building Inspections - at this time building inspections are occurring as normal. Please note that inspections requiring accessing the interior of an occupied home are being evaluated on a case by case basis. They still need to be scheduled via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (480) 474-5101. Please remember to provide a call back number.
**When sending/submitting any application online via email, you must put the site address in the subject line. If the site is a vacant property you must put the Pinal County Assessor’s parcel number in the subject line. If the subject line is empty, your email will be deleted. It is your responsibility to ensure your application has been received by either a follow up email or phone call to our office at 480-474-5156.

Building Division Information:
The Building Division can be reached at (480) 474-5156 or firstname.lastname@example.org with questions prior to coming into the office. Many questions can be answered over the phone or through our website. We will gladly walk you through finding that information on our website www.ajcity.net/Development_Services. If staff is unavailable to answer you call, your message will be returned as soon as possible.
Applying for building permits:
For permits submitted via email like solar, electrical, small residential, etc. we are temporarily suspending the printing fees. Remember that the maximum file size we can receive is 10 megabytes. Any drawings/plans submitted must be in PDF format. The 10 MB is the sum total of the sizes of the attachments, and 1000 kilobytes KB = 1 MB.
If you have any questions regarding submission by email, contact us as noted above. Application fees can be made via credit card over the phone.

Currently our review times are the standard three weeks and inspections are being carried out as normal.

Development Services Fees are updated and go into effect on July 1, 2019.
New Building Code and Administrative Provisions have been adopted and go into effect July 18, 2019.
