Apply for Youth Advisory Council

Teens! Looking to get involved in your community? In 2016 the Apache Junction City Council established the Youth Advisory Council in order to provide our youth a voice in community issues, educate them on local government and develop leadership skills in our area youth. Now, we are looking to increase our numbers. This group acts as teen advisors to the Apache Junction City Council, city boards and commissions and city departments on matters directly related to youth programming and youth-related issues. Members are in 8th-12th grade that either reside in or attend school in Apache Junction.

We are currently looking to add new applicants to our council. Applicants will need to be entering 9th-12th grade in the 2017/2018 school year. Meetings will run twice a month, with additional meetings and volunteer requirements scheduled as necessary.
