Superstition Shadows Aquatic Center Changes Open Swim Hours

Every year the Aquatic staff meets to decide how to best program Superstition Shadows Aquatic Center so it maximizes pool usage and provides the community the best opportunity to take part in the Learn to Swim program. To assist with the heavy volume of evening swim lesson participants, we’ve adjusted our open swim time and added a third swim lesson timeframe. Our new Open Swim hours will be 11:30am-5:30pm daily through July 22nd. The pool opens Saturday, May 25th for the season.

Due to the Apache Junction School District schedule changes, we will once again have altered Open Swim hours at the pool. While the kids are in school, July 23rd -26th and July 29th -Aug. 2nd, the pool will be open from 3-5:30pm. Open Swim will be FREE of charge on these days only. (Please note, 5th session of swim lessons will not be affected by these changes).

We’ve extended our summer season due to the early start date for AJUSD. Starting Aug. 3rd, we’ll be open on weekends through Aug. 18th. Weekend Open Swim hours will stay the same,11:30am-5:30pm; regular daily fees apply.

Don’t wait until summer starts, purchase your summer pool passes now! Pool Pass Discounts will be available April 1st and run through Monday, May 27th. Purchase pool passes at the Multi-Generational Center or at the pool opening weekend. Family Pass - $83 (regular $110); Adult Pass - $53 (regular $73); Youth Pass - $38 (regular $50).
