Meet Our Instructors

Grace

Parks and Recreation offers a variety of group fitness classes at the Multi-Generational Center (MGC). Classes are included in a membership or with daily drop-in fee. Each month we’d like to introduce you to a couple of our instructors. This month, we are featuring Tracie Bjoin and Grace Guilfoyle.

Tracie Bjoin started teaching Zumba in December of 2013 and has loved every minute of it as it is such a fun workout. She can smile, sing, dance and sweat, not even realizing an hour has passed and she just got in a great workout! Tracie’s biggest passion is coaching high school Track and Field in San Tan Valley as a volunteer for the past 5+ years. It gives her heart so much joy to help others reach their fitness goals while maintaining her own! Tracie teaches Zumba Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m.Tracie

Grace Guilfoyle’s passion is being outside in our beautiful Arizona desert. Camping, backpacking, Stand Up paddling, hiking and swimming are some of the activities that she really enjoys. Yoga is definitely one of her callings and her students (she thinks) would agree. Grace feels so comfortable teaching and considers the AJ MGC her second home. Her family and blue Pitt bull/ bull mastiff mid keep her very busy when she’s not teaching classes or at her massage studio. Currently, Grace teaches Intro to Yoga Friday mornings at 8:15 a.m. Grace 2019

We are currently taking reservations for group fitness classes. Members can call up to 48 hours in advance to make their reservation. Drop-ins will be accepted as space allows. Per the Governor’s order, face coverings are mandated at the Multi-Generational Center, even during exercise. Our staff have extra cleaning precautions in place for any equipment used during group fitness classes. However, please bring your own yoga mat as they are not provided.

A full schedule of group fitness classes and their descriptions can be found at www.ajcity.net/fitness or picked up at the MGC located at 1035 N. Idaho Road, Apache Junction. Call 480-474-5240 to make your reservation.
