We strive to keep you informed of what's happening in our city. There are many ways for you to view events.
The Default View is with all of your calendars selected.
  • To view the available calendars, click Select Calendars. Put a check beside the calendars that you want to view and click View Selected Calendars and you will only see the items in the calendars you checked.
  • To View by Month click on the "<<" or ">>" buttons on the Monthly Calendar.
  • You can also enter a specific date to see the events for that day.
  • You still have the option of viewing a printable month and week’s calendar with your selection of calendars on it.

Public hearing regarding the use of CDBG funds
The City of Apache Junction is expected to receive an estimated $280,000 in FY 2010 federal CDBG funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account (RA). The City of Apache Junction may also apply for up to $300,000 in FY 2009 and FY2010 CDBG funds from the State Special Projects (SSP) account. CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. Public hearings will be held to gather citizen input on the use of the CDBG funds.

National Walk to School Week - Oct. 7
Superstition Mountain Elementary School and Desert Shadows Middle School kids – walk or ride your bike to school on Wednesday, and receive great prizes and information. There is also an option at SMES for families that want to walk together. See flyers/posters at your schools for more information.

Youth Tennis Lessons - Oct. 7 - Nov. 18
This is a 6 week instructional program with each week participants working on a new aspect of the game. Don’t wait to sign up for this as space is limited and will fill quickly.

2009 Safe & Fit Bike Rodeo - Oct. 8
Description: Learn general Bike Safety and how to properly helmet your head! Go through our 5 station Bike course. Purchase Food and Beverage from G.R.E.A.T Don’t miss the door prizes, education, and bounce houses!

Where: Superstition Mountain Elementary School
on the basketball courts. Students from S.M.E.S. can begin right after school @ 3pm. Bring your bikes and helmets.

The League begins on October 27th.

Where: Registration is going on right now at the Parks & Recreation office (1001 N. Idaho Rd)
League will be played @ Apache Creek Golf Club.
When: Tee times can be made after 12:00 pm.
Cost: $5 registration fee /$29 per round (includes cart)
