We strive to keep you informed of what's happening in our city. There are many ways for you to view events.
The Default View is with all of your calendars selected.
  • To view the available calendars, click Select Calendars. Put a check beside the calendars that you want to view and click View Selected Calendars and you will only see the items in the calendars you checked.
  • To View by Month click on the "<<" or ">>" buttons on the Monthly Calendar.
  • You can also enter a specific date to see the events for that day.
  • You still have the option of viewing a printable month and week’s calendar with your selection of calendars on it.

Public hearing regarding the use of CDBG funds
The City of Apache Junction is expected to receive an estimated $280,000 in FY 2010 federal CDBG funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account (RA). The City of Apache Junction may also apply for up to $300,000 in FY 2009 and FY2010 CDBG funds from the State Special Projects (SSP) account. CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. Public hearings will be held to gather citizen input on the use of the CDBG funds.

Youth Tennis Lessons - Oct. 7 - Nov. 18
This is a 6 week instructional program with each week participants working on a new aspect of the game. Don’t wait to sign up for this as space is limited and will fill quickly.

Where: Superstition Shadows Park - Tennis Courts
When: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Cost: $30 per person (6 -12 year olds)

After School Sports - Nov. 3 - Nov. 24
Apache Junction Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the local elementary schools to provide a variety of fun and enjoyable sports right after school. Please contact your school’s PE coach for information on what sport will be offered next.

Desert Vista Elementary
When: SMES 3:00 - 3:50 pm
DVES 2:50 - 3:40 pm
GCES 3:40 - 4:30 pm
Cost: $10 per season

Adult Softball – Men’s & Co-Ed - Nov. 5
General Registration – Thursday, October 15 (5-7pm)
Parks & Rec office
Games begin – Thursday, November 5 at PPark
Fee: $400 per team / $360 per team for those teams registering and paying in full at the general registration. There is also a $30 refundable coaches meeting deposit due at time of registration (separate check)

Where: Registration will be @ the Parks & Recreation office.
