Explorer Program
Overview
Exploring is a program for young men and women ages 14-20 who are interested in a career in Law Enforcement.

Objectives
- Provide quality Law Enforcement training and experience
- Emphasize the importance of building and maintaining strong community relationships
- Develop responsibilities and leadership skills in all Explorers
- Promote physical fitness practices and standards
- Promote a positive image of Law Enforcement and young adults in our community
- Provide the highest quality applicants to the Law Enforcement profession
- Through this education and high participatory involvement, we hope to develop and build better citizens
- Exploring also builds self-esteem through individual and team efforts, developing pride in ones achievements and in personal appearance

Establishment
All Explorers will attend a Law Enforcement training Academy. Once established in the program Explorers can:
- Participate in ride-a-longs with the Patrol Division
- Test for rank inside of the Post
- Earn uniforms, an Explorer badge, and merit ribbons
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a high school, college or employed
- Maintain a "C" average
- No criminal history
- 14-20 years of age
