Special Events
We provide a variety of special events to help build family unity, increase community pride, and create a fun and enjoyable recreational experience for everyone. Saturday, January 30 - Events will be held @ the AJHS Track.

5-6 years old 9am-10:30am
4-under years old 10:30am
$2 per child

Are your little ones running through the house, jumping over furniture, lobbing their toys through the air?  They could possibly be the next Itty Bitty Olympian.  Bring your little ones out to enjoy this fun filled morning competing for ribbons and medals in Olympic style events.

Join Apache Junction Parks & Recreation & Sonlite Productions
concerts on Saturday afternoons 4:00 - 5:30 pm @ Veterans Memorial Park Gazebo. 

January 16th - Heart & Rhythm (song & dance)
February 20th - Jann & the Moondoggs (50's & 60's)
March 20th - Freddie & Sheila (variety, Blues, Country Pop)

Grab your tent, sleeping bags & your family!
Join Parks & Recreation  as we provide a camping trip you and your
family will never forget.  Campers will enjoy a night under the stars at Prospector Park.  We provide an evening full of activities like games, sports, a bonfire, s’mores and entertainment.  We even provide the grub! 
Enjoy a delicious cook out dinner with all the fixings .

1st egg hunt begins @ 9am   -Age Groups:  2 & under, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 & 11 & over


Any local non-profit organization’s that would like to sponsor a booth at the Easter Egg Hunt should contact Chrystal Sawyer at 480-474-5159 before March 13th.  Location:  Prospector Park Softball Complex, located at 3015 N. Idaho Rd.  The park is approximately 1/8 of a mile north of Lost Dutchman Blvd. (also known as Brown Rd.)

An early bird pancake breakfast sponsored by the Superstition Mountain Mental Health Center will start at 7am and continue until the food runs out.  Breakfast is a donation of $3.50 per adult and $1.50 per child.

SATURDAY, APRIL 24TH  - 14 YEARS & OLDER


Test your mountain bike skills on this 14 mile flat and fast race course at Prospector Park.  The course is primarily hard packed dirt following the power lines with some occasional sand areas.  Registration will start at 8am and
the race will start at 9am.
