AJ Ride Choice
Overview
AJ Ride Choice is mileage reimbursement for passengers who rely on their non-residing friends, neighbors, or relatives for transportation. AJ Ride Choice is coupons for cabs for passengers who order coupons from our department for a minimal co-pay. Coupons are to be used toward the fares of participating cab companies.

Who can apply for East Valley Ride Choice?
Permanent City of Apache Junction residents as follows:
- Senior citizens 60 and over
- Disabled adults 18 through 59
- Have a current AZ ID card
- AJ Ride Choice is for residents
- Who are unable to drive and do not have a car

East Valley Ride Choice Information
Apache Junction Ride Choice provides the freedom to schedule your own ride at a time convenient for you:
- Reimbursement: clients choose their own volunteer driver (non-residing friend, neighbor, or relative). Our program does not provide drivers. Mileage is paid to the passenger at 44 cents per mile for the purpose of reimbursing their volunteer driver when the passenger travels in the driver's car.
- Coupons for Cabs: Most qualified clients can purchase up to $100 worth of coupons every month. Their co-pay for each book containing ten $1 coupons is only $2.50. All orders are mailed at the end of each month.
