The Housing and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Division of Development Services works through partnerships with other governmental, both federal and state agencies, private and non-profit organizations to offer programs and services for the residents of Apache Junction.

Such programs include:

1) The housing rehabilitation program which includes emergency repairs, ADA      accessibility/modifications, and full housing rehabilitation;
2) An annual Paint-a-Thon program;
3) Free tax preparation and programs to provide tax credits to low income households;
4) First-time homebuyer programs that include education and down payment assistance;
5) Foreclosure prevention counseling; and
6) Homeownership through Habitat for Humanity
