We strive to create enjoyable fitness opportunities for every member of the family, young and old. Our knowledgeable staff will keep you abreast of the latest in fitness trends and research. It is our purpose to pass that knowledge on to the participants so that they too may become better educated on how to take care of their physical health. The MGC offers a variety of group fitness classes designed for participants 14 and older. Children 11-13 years wishing to attend the fitness class must be accompanied by a participating adult; please speak with the instructor prior to the start of the class. Some classes are so popular that they fill quickly.

6th Annual Pretty in Pink Dance Party
The Fitness Staff at the MGC are hosting a Pretty in Pink Dance Party on Saturday, October 12th 10am - 11:30am to benefit breast cancer research. All ages are welcome to participate in the hour and a half long Zumba Dance Party. There will be prizes for all and a raffle for those that donate. There is no fee for attending the Pretty in Pink Dance Party, however, donations are encouraged. 100% of the donations will be donated to breast cancer research. Be sure to wear your best pink for the dance party!
Explore multiple dimensions of health and wellness; kids will work their creative minds as well as their bodies. Activities will include but aren't limited to arts and crafts, games, sports, strength training, hiking (trail walking).

We Run For Fun Club
An active, healthy club for youth who like to run, jog, and improve their physical fitness. A variety of running activities will help participants learn goal setting, pacing and proper hydration. These aspects of the club allow a social, team building and motivational experience for everyone. Fee includes entry into the Oct. and Nov. I Run for AJHS Athletics Series.
This class is for anyone with the desire to improve theirown level of health and develop their own self-healing abilities. You willlearn several active Qigong exercises and meditations; these are thefoundations to self-healing. There will be lots of hands on practicing of theactive exercises, meditation techniques. 18+
Practical Self-Defense for Women (adults)
Do you feel safe walking to your car or going out byyourself? Can you protect yourself? Defending yourself is the right of everyone.Don’t be a victim; learn to defend yourself in a practical and safe manner.This class will teach practical methods of self-protection including how to usecommon items found in your purse, a newspaper or book and even your hands andfeet. 18+
2 Mile Trail Run
The 2-Mile Trail Run is an easy 2-mile trail loop on thedesert trails behind the MGC for running or walking.
All ages and abilities welcome.
TRX Body Blast
TRX Body Blast is a full body workout designed for all levels. Challenge your upper body, lower body and core with this suspension training workout that focuses on building muscular endurance and a rock solid core. Improve your stamina and expect to build overall strength, balance and flexibility with this total body workout.

Kids in the Kitchen
Children will learn how to eat healthy and enjoy foods that are nutritious through a variety of activities. They will learn how to prep and prepare fun, simple and healthy meals and snacks.

Ghoulishly Good Eats
Creating good eating habits for kids starts early. Kids will learn basic food prep, choosing healthy options and how to be safe, yet have fun in the kitchen! Enjoy some holiday-themed nutritious foods.

Fit Families is a program designed to encourage and support families in spending more time together and making healthier life choices. It takes GREAT partners to make this program work! Girls On the Run®
Girls on the Run® (GOTR)is a non-profit program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. The program combines training for a 5k running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts and curriculum-based lessons on themes such as dealing with body image and the media, resisting peer pressure, making healthy decisions and contributing to the community. Open to all 3rd-5th grade girls, this program will be held at the MGC and will culminate in a season ending 5k Run/Walk.
