The primary duties of this Commission include community contact regarding items including a zoning change request, to an application from a developer for a shopping center development or housing project. Also included are conditional use permits with the final decision being handled at the Planning and Zoning Commission level. Another task of the Commission is to stabilize the housing and building in Apache Junction. If you are interested in serving on this commission in the future, we encourage you to fill out a talent bank application. Members must live within the Apache Junction city limits.
There are seven members appointed who serve three-year terms.
Meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
