The City of Apache Junction is proud to be a partner with Habitat for Humanity in the construction of Ironwood Trails, an 18 unit solar subdivision. This subdivision started construction in October of 2006 and was completed in April of 2009.
Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun was founded in 1987 and is a Christian-based housing ministry. Embracing all faiths, the organization is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in our community by helping low-income families purchase a simple, decent home in which to live.
Through partnerships like those with the city and Salt River Project, who donated all of the solar packages for the homes, Habitat for Humanity is able to complete their mission.
