Halloween Festival

The City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation wants to make your Fall spook-ta-cular! Every year the Saturday prior to Halloween, we host ther annual Halloween Festival from 5:00-8:00pm. The event is located at the Flatiron Community Park (100 N. Apache Trail). 

There will be activities throughout the night for the whole family including a costume contest, Howl-o-ween K9 Costume Contest, pumpkin carving contest, bounce houses, fun kid's games, a trunk or treat and more! The Annual Costume Contest will begin at 6pm sharp and will be divided by age groups. All ages are welcome to enter. Remember to use your imagination and be creative! 

Back by popular demand is the Howl-o-ween Canine Costume Contest. All canines must be on a leash and have a completed entry form. This contest will begin at 7pm and it will be judged on the following categories: Cutest Canine, Funniest Canine, Most Original Canine, and Best Group (owner & canine).

Do you or your family like to carve pumpkins for Halloween? If so, bring your pre-carved pumpkin out to the park and enter our Pumpkin Carving Contest! We will judge pumpkins in four categories: Funniest, Scariest, Best Overall, and Most Original! All pumpkins must be submitted to the judging table by 6pm to be eligible to win.

The costume and pumpkin contest are free to enter. There is no cost to walk through the trunk or treat, but only 17 and younger will receive treats. The games and attractions will require tickets. Tickets can be purchased on site with cash, or on the Thursday/Friday prior to the event at the Multi-Generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road. Tickets are .25 each and each activity will cost 2-3 tickets. Tickets are non-refundable. All proceeds go back to the local non-profit organizations participating in the event.

Trunk or Treat - Local Business can join the Fun!

Join local business's as they decorate their vehicles and pass out candy to all the little ghouls and goblins of Apache Junction.
