Looking for a fun part-time summer job? Do you like working with kids? Do you like swimming? The city of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation department is looking for energetic staff to teach swim lessons this summer. Not certified? No problem! If you will be 16 years old by May 2, we are offering a water safety instructor certification class on April 20, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; and from 5-9 p.m. on April 22, 23, 25, 29, 30 and May 2. All water safety instructors must hold a current certification in order to be hired by the city.

The city is accepting applications for both lifeguards and water safety instructors for the 2019 season. Job applications can be filled out online even before you receive your certification. Please note in the “training” section of the application that you are currently enrolled in a class. All job and volunteer applications can be found online under the “jobs/volunteer” tab on the city website at www.ajcity.net.
